AAB is taking part in an innovative agricultural project in Aruba

AAB has been selected to carry out the technical design and economic feasibility study for the Agri-Innovation Park (AIP) in Aruba. This strategic initiative by the Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs and the Primary Sector is intended to contribute to a stronger, more innovative and future-proof agricultural sector.

According to the minister, the choice of AAB is based on the firm’s international experience, technical expertise and multidisciplinary approach. Its experience with agricultural projects in similar climatic conditions played a key role in this decision.

The Agri-Innovation Park represents a significant step towards greater food security and economic diversification in Aruba. The first phase comprises approximately 30,000 m² of production greenhouses. Here, local farmers will gain access to modern cultivation techniques, guidance and training, enabling them to further develop their business operations.

The relevance of the project extends beyond Aruba alone. Globally, food production and security of supply are under pressure due to geopolitical developments and disruptions in supply chains. By bringing together knowledge, technology and entrepreneurship, efforts are being made to create a resilient agricultural sector that is less dependent on imports.
