AAB was contracted by an Australian investment company to conduct a feasibility study into the possibilities for developing and realising a state-of-the-art greenhouse enterprise near a major city in Australia. The investment plan was based on the contracts that would be negotiated with a number of major buyers (wholesalers and supermarkets), primarily of lettuce, using a fully automated growing system. The feasibility study consisted of providing the entire technical design, the investment budget and the operating budget for the first eight years, assuming greenhouse facilties of approximately 14,000 m2 (initial phase) in size for growing lettuce.
